Get in shape for summer!

- What is your health goal for the month?
To workout at the gym for 45 minutes 3 times a week.

- Why did you choose this goal?
I want to feel fit and energetic again.

- What actions/choices/sacrifices will you make to achieve this goal?
I HAVE to make it to the gym for 6PM.

- Any message to other members who are participating in the Health Challenge?
It only takes determinationa nd will-power and half the battle is over, so you can do it!

Progress Report April 4th

Highlights:

• I have started working on the qualitative response to the TIG Survey. It seems like a very long and complicated procedure, but slowly and surely I’ll get there :-) I plan to get it done before April 14th. More updates later.

• We got funding for 5 new positions therefore, I will be working with Nick and Jen and we shall go through the screening of resumes, interviews, selection and recruiting process. I guess it will be quite intensive.

• Thankfully the office is still tidy, organized and in one peace – I will say yet again, that I really like our work space.

• Other than that, not much has changed for me.

Challenges:

• Analysis of the responses to the TIG survey especially due to some answers that you just cannot interpret and or categorize!

Lessons learned/Memorable moments:

• Still to come for this week.

Here are the latest happenings from my end.

E-mail responses:
I have been responding to e-mails that get sent to info/workshop/editorial.

The Zine:
The approval of articles for the zine has been a bit slow lately, (as I’ve been caught up in doing other work) but I am on top of it again.

Workshops in November:
We’ve had a great turnout of people for our workshops this month! In fact we had to set up a couple of laptops as well as have 2 people share one computer in order to accommodate everyone. That’s not all. The best part was when Reggie agreed to host a “side workshop” with 2 people who showed up a little late. Great leadership skills, Reggie!
We (Maria and I) are working on the schedule for the up coming workshops.

Business Cards:
I managed to scan all the cards that Jen received from various conferences.
I have received more cards from Mike to scan.

Financial matters:
As you all are aware, we are coming to the end of our year and our accounts are being brought up to date. I am on top of our book and record keeping (with Mike’s guidance) and it things are flowing smoothly now.

Office Administration:
Answering the phones, booking rooms, sending out meeting requests, etc and keeping the office tidy is all under control. I feel that it is all going well.

Here¡¦s my first Progress Report:

It has been just over a fortnight that I began working for TIG and I must say that is has been great!

The financial side of TIG:
I have been working with Mike and updating our book and record keeping. Eventually, I shall be working on this on my own.

Office organization and management:
I try to keep our office tidy and in order. Hopefully soon, we should have more storage space ¡V that way a lot of ¡§stuff¡¨ that is lying around can be put away.

Administrative duties:
All in-coming calls are usually answered by me ļ. I believe I have been passing on messages promptly.
I also scanned close to 200 business cards for Nick and Jenn who greatly appreciated it. Thanks go out to you both.
I have been working on our website content, to be more specific, articles for the zine, as well as events and organizations.
The Workshop Bragbook is almost complete.

Staff meetings:
So far I have attended one (October 1st 2002).
